Eco Home Assessments
Eco Home Assessments are a detailed assessment of the environmental potential of your home. They review options including rainwater, grey water, solar hot water, solar electricity, space heating alternatives, energy saving lighting, energy efficiency and other features.
The assessments are an excellent tool for people planning renovations and home improvements as they bring together complete details of the eco possibilities of your home. When you are planning to spend many, many thousands of dollars on a renovation, spending a few hundred $ for some expert advice of making your renovation eco friendly is excellent value.
Desk Assessment
A Desk Assessment is a 1 hour consultancy session providing advice and design work. It gives you full access to all the files and information at the Environment Shop. It includes the design and sizing of systems which are being considered. We also provide information and brochures as required.
In Home Assessment
We come to you and do an on site assessment of your homes environmental potential . The assessment takes approximately 1.5 hours. We provide a basic report, technical notes, product information and costs. This information is supplied at the time of the visit.
In Home Assessment with Report
Like the standard in home service this assessment involves a home visit reviewing a large range of sustainablility techniques and improvements. Verbal information is supplied at the time of the visit but the bulk of the information provided is through a personalised written report which specifically addresses the issues raised by the customer. The reports are detailed and typically take one or two weeks to do the research and write up. (Note: Where the specific needs of the client requires a large amount of research an additional charge may be required. This will be discussed at the time of booking).

FirstRate Home Energy Ratings
We offer Home Energy Ratings, which are conducted utilising FirstRate software. The FirstRate house energy rating software is a powerful design tool, which enables us to evaluate the energy performance of each part of your house.
The house energy rating measures the energy efficiency of a house by allocating a point score for various design features (such as building fabric, window design, insulation, orientation and other features) and provides an overall rating on a scale from 0 to 6 stars, with half star increments.
Our home rating specialist has extensive experience and will go out of his way to provide suggestions on ways you can improve your house design.

Home Energy Audit
We visit your home and conduct a detailed analysis of your energy consumption patterns. Gives you information on the energy use and running costs from heating, cooling, refrigeration, lighting, cooking and other appliances.
Includes detailed recomendations on actions you can take to cut energy costs. We also supply you with a comprehensive report on what we find and what you can do.
